Job Description

• Design and Manufacturing Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of design and manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and innovation.
• VA-VE Initiatives: Lead Value Analysis-Value Engineering (VA-VE) efforts to optimize costs, delivering significant savings across products.
• Costing Assessment: Perform thorough costing assessments, with a proven track record in cost innovation and developing cost-effective solutions.
• Project Management: Oversee cost optimization projects, ensuring proper governance, timelines, and successful implementation across departments.
• Target Costing: Develop and implement target costing strategies for both new and existing parts to enhance profitability.
• Cost Reduction KPIs: Take ownership of meeting and exceeding cost reduction KPIs, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and coordinate cost reduction efforts across multiple functions, including Engineering, Purchasing, Product Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Finance.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize fact-based, data-driven approaches to push for idea generation and execution, ensuring all decisions are grounded in solid analysis.
• Collaboration and Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization to support and sustain cost optimization initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

• 8-15 years of experience in advanced industries (OEM or Auto Ancillary), with hands-on experience in cost optimization and value engineering.
• Project management experience is an added advantage.
• Strong IT skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is essential; knowledge of MS Access and MS Project is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Experience in a multi-national environment is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform relevant analysis, gather necessary information, and make informed assumptions when needed.
