A fashion production company in Jakarta Utara is seeking a qualified Cost Accountant to maintain accurate cost accounting records and perform standard costing calculations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 3–5 years of relevant experience, particularly in the fashion retail sector. Proficiency in SAP and strong analytical skills are essential for this role, which involves analyzing production costs and ensuring inventory accuracy.
Develop, monitor, and maintain accurate cost accounting records and standard costing systems.
Conduct standard cost calculations for raw materials and conversion costs relevant to fashion production.
Analyze production costs, inventory valuations, and variances; provide regular reports to management.
Perform gross margin analysis across SKUs, collections, and sales channels.
Monitor and control pending goods issues to ensure smooth inventory movement.
Track and analyze raw material price trends (e.g. fabric, accessories) using ERP tools such as SAP.
Settle production orders and conduct variance analysis for ongoing cost control.
Publish internal pricing or export pricing for intercompany or B2B sales.
Manage and ensure integrity of the Master Data within the costing cycle.
Calculate activity-based costing rates to support pricing and product decisions.
Perform material yield analysis by product and production method (manual/machine-based).
Coordinate regular inventory counts and cycle counts across stores and warehouses.
Ensure accurate and timely COGS & COGM reconciliation.
Lead monthly inventory closing processes and coordinate with Finance for reporting.
Work closely with Procurement, Warehouse, and Production teams to maintain real-time inventory accuracy.
Implement and monitor internal controls for cost and inventory systems.
Identify and support process improvement and system enhancements for better efficiency and data accuracy.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in cost accounting or inventory control, ideally in fashion retail, FMCG, or manufacturing.
Strong understanding of standard costing, margin analysis, and inventory processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP / Odoo or equivalent.
Meticulous, analytical, and able to work across departments (Finance, Production, Merchandising).
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
