Position Overview
Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager
Step into a strategic role that ensures tax integrity across one of Southeast Asias most dynamic logistics groups. As our
Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager, you'll
oversee domestic and international tax compliance for all legal entities,
guide cross-border transactions, and
drive digital transformation in tax operations. You'll serve as the principal advisor to senior management - blending regulatory command, risk foresight, and business acumen to optimize tax strategies and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead timely and accurate tax filings across multiple jurisdictions (VAT, CIT, Withholding Tax, etc.)
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure organizational adherence to domestic and global tax laws
- Oversee transfer pricing compliance and manage annual benchmarking studies
- Conduct internal risk assessments and implement controls to prevent disputes and penalties
- Represent the group in audits, appeals, and legal correspondence with authorities
- Provide tax advisory for restructurings, new business setups, and contract reviews
- Coordinate with finance, legal, and commercial teams to align payment flows and invoicing with tax regulations
- Manage tax registrations for new entities and legal incorporations
- Track team OKRs and performance metrics, including coaching and succession planning
- Evaluate and enhance P3W frameworks, leading automation and process innovation
- Promote corporate culture and foster knowledge-sharing across the tax team
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Fiscal Studies, Economics, or Business Management
- Certified Tax Consultant (Brevet A, B, C preferred)
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in tax roles, ideally within Big 4 firms or Tier 1 consultancies experience
- Mastery of government tax regulations, transfer pricing, and legal contracts
- Skilled in data analysis, DJP systems, D365, and automation tools
- Proven ability to lead audits, mitigate risk, and advise on strategic corporate actions
- Strong business judgment, stakeholder communication, and leadership capabilities
