Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a qualified Safety Officer to lead on-site safety, health and environmental activities. You will record incidents, enforce PPE usage, and conduct toolbox talks and inductions to ensure compliance with OSHA and JKKP requirements.

You must have at least 3 years of construction site experience and a valid Green Book, with the ability to start on short notice. You will coordinate signages, welfare, and environmental maintenance across the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of construction site experience.
• Must have a valid Green Book.
• Able to start work on short notice.
• Familiar with OSHA and JKKP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate site safety, health and environment activities and measure.
• Record and control safety measures and accidents at site.
• Carry out inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Issue safety instructions to site staff and sub-contractors.
• Control and record issuance of PPE.
• Prepare safety manual.
• Attend safety and health weekly meetings.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety inductions.
• Ensure safety signage are sufficient.
• Safeguard worker welfare and quarters control, including hoarding maintenance, water & electricity supply, proper housekeeping and clean environment.
• Environmental maintenance (eg. fogging & waste disposal).
• Provide and control workers' passes. Maintain proper records.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA & JKKP requirements (eg. yearly assessment).
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by Management.
• Maintain records on Site & CLQ for cleaning, fogging & etc.
• Compile Machinery Driver’s PMT License, Sub-Contractors and Workers CIDB Card.
