Merdeka also has a subsidiary in the field of mining construction services.

The two mining operations managed by Merdeka are theTujuh Bukit Gold Minein Banyuwangi, East Java; and theWetar Copper Mineon Wetar Island, Southwest Maluku.

Merdeka is developing several projects: theTujuh Bukit Copper Project, an underground copper mine in Banyuwangi, which is one of the largest undeveloped copper deposits in the world; and thePani Gold Projectin Gorontalo, Sulawesi, which will become one of the major primary gold mines in Indonesia.

We’re looking for:

Commissioning Engineer

Job Descriptions:

• Inspect the equipment, facilities and any other aspect of an engineering project to ensure that it has been designed and installed correctly.
• Frequently create reports, assist with technical issues, conduct testing procedures and oversee the entire life cycle of the project.
• Initiating the process, setting the scope of the commissioning process start from C1 until C2.
• Prepare Process Commissioning Module Methodology of C1, C2 & C3 and publish them to other commissioning teams included. Supporting and facilitating the commissioning process during design, construction and occupancy and reviewing relevant documents.
• Creating accurate project specifications.
• Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults.
• Liaising with Users and installation/project engineers.
• Ensuring safe working conditions.

Requirements:

• Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Mathematical skills and the ability to apply them to solve problems.
• The ability to cope with shift work and unsocial hours, which are often required where equipment is in 24-hour operation.
• Willing to be placed at Morowali.
