Job description

Commercial - Customer Solution Executive

General responsibilities include resolving client issues, optimizing service delivery, and ensuring seamless coordination between internal departments, terminals, freight forwarders, logistics providers, and other stakeholders. The role also involves championing continuous improvement initiatives to drive service excellence, safety, and operational performance.

This position conducts and handles market research and feasibility studies, identifies information needs, gathers information, produces reports, and handles Q&A with customers on the commercial website to analyze the viability of alternative business development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Preferably Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in any major.
• Essential experience in a commercial background.
• Good understanding of business processes and customer relationships, especially in Port, Shipping, and Liner industries.
• Experience and knowledge in handling customer solutions and relations.
• Articulate, clear, and concise communication skills.
• Ability to create and deliver clear presentations to customers.
• Confidence in confrontational circumstances, with a drive to resolve conflicts.
• Strong analytical thinking to support market research and terminal commercial planning.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Placement: North Jakarta.

The Tanjung Priok Port in North Jakarta, which handles over half of Indonesia's total volume, has become overloaded. The development of New Priok will modernize Jakarta’s port facilities and enhance network connectivity for shipping lines, significantly strengthening Indonesia’s logistics competitiveness and trade environment. PT New Priok Container Terminal One (NPCT1), owned by Pelindo II (IPC), Mitsui & Co., Ltd., PSA International Pte Ltd, and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line), commenced operations on 18 August 2016.

NPCT1 is the most modern terminal in Jakarta, capable of accommodating mega container ships, and actively responds to the Indonesian government’s “Go Green” initiative by introducing ERTGs and exploring cold ironing facilities to be environmentally friendly. With advanced equipment, deep drafts, and improved customs and quarantine systems, we aim to provide top-tier port services at Tanjung Priok, Jakarta.
