Job Description - Commercial Business Development Manager, EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EaE) (009HDS)

We are seeking a Commercial Business Development Manager for EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EaE) at Schneider Electric. This role involves driving commercial success through consultative selling, identifying high-potential opportunities, collaborating with partners, negotiating contracts, and executing go-to-market strategies. The candidate will analyze market trends, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and support internal teams to promote EAE adoption.

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving sales through consultative and prescriptive techniques.
  • Identifying, qualifying, and nurturing business opportunities including pilot projects and full rollouts.
  • Collaborating with channel partners, system integrators, and EPC firms to develop strategies.
  • Negotiating contracts and pricing to maximize revenue.
  • Developing and executing strategies to position EAE as a disruptive platform.
  • Aligning initiatives with industry trends like Industry 4.0.
  • Analyzing customer needs and market trends to refine value propositions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Building relationships with engineering, operations, IT, and executive decision-makers.
  • Engaging with C-level executives, plant managers, and automation engineers.
  • Supporting internal teams and building a network of early adopters and industry influencers.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Working with EAE COE, product management, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Providing customer feedback to product teams.
  • Coordinating with pre-sales and solution specialists to develop tailored solutions.
  • Becoming the subject matter expert on EAE.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 5+ years experience in consultative, technical solution sales (essential).
  • Deep understanding of Industrial Automation and applications (essential).
  • Experience with control systems like PLC/SCADA, DCS, edge computing.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
