PT. recherche un Agronome pour se concentrer sur la culture de récoltes alimentaires et horticoles. Vous serez responsable du développement de techniques de plantation, d'une gestion efficace des cultures et du conseil aux agriculteurs pour maximiser la productivité. Ce rôle exige de l'expérience en agronomie et des compétences analytiques solides, ainsi que la capacité à travailler sur le terrain et en laboratoire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Requirements

  • Willing to relocate to North Tapanuli Utara,North Sumatera and travel across regions in Indonesia
  • Bachelor’s degree in agricultural disciplines such as plant science, soil and water management, genetic and nutrient agriculture, biotechnology, or related fields
  • 3-4 years of experience in cultivating coffee, vegetable & tropical fruits in field and greenhouse environments, with a specialized focus on plant protection methodologies
  • Minimum 3 years of agronomy work experience, preferable coffee plantation
  • Proficiency in operating and managing of various irrigation systems
  • Strong knowledge and experienced in Food crop and Horticulture plantation
  • Proficiency in Agronomy and include Fertilizing & Pest
  • Skilled in implement efficient and farming methods
  • Engaging in research and development activities at an advanced level, within academic or professional settings
  • Have a keen attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of soil and crop principles
  • Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office and diagnostic scientific software.
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills
  • Strong research, decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • The Agronomist will focus on cultivating food crops and horticultural crops from planting, fertilizing, to harvesting. The role of the Agronomist is to ensure that crops are grown under the most favorable conditions and that agricultural productivity is maximized.
  • Developing better planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, improving crop yield, and solving problems
  • Advising farmers on land management and how to improve their crop yields
  • Studying soil, water, and other factors which affect crop growth. Carries out laboratory tests of soil, seed, and crop samples
  • Performs quality control for seed caliber and soil standards
  • Visiting fields to collect seed, plant, and soil samples.
  • Making nutrition plans to schedule fertilizer application based on soil testing. Testing samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes.
  • Assisting with the plant sourcing, testing, and selection.
  • Create chemical, biological, or technology-based (e.g., precision weeding) treatment plans to keep crops free of pests and weeds
  • Carry out field trials to solve clients' crop problems
  • Assesses crop production of the farm
  • Evaluates and improves seed quality
  • Conducting training to farmers through educational presentations.
  • Managing teams of scientists while conducting field visits or laboratory work.
  • Developing planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.
  • Recording information on plant growth and environmental conditions
  • Collecting and analyzing crop yield and financial data
  • Keeping up to date with product developments and legislation
  • Prepares analysis and data presentation to management
