Job Overview

The Lab Indonesia is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Coding Instructor to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. This full-time, on-site position is responsible for delivering engaging and effective coding and robotics education to students aged 5–16 years old.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to create an interactive and stimulating learning environment. As a Coding Instructor, you will play a key role in fostering students’ creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities while collaborating with fellow instructors to ensure the delivery of high‑quality educational programs in accordance with the company’s standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Fluency in English is mandatory, as English will be used as the primary language of instruction and communication.
• Inspire and engage students in learning coding and robotics while fostering their curiosity, creativity, and technical skills.
• Deliver structured and engaging lessons in accordance with The Lab Indonesia’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), curriculum, and teaching guidelines.
• Assess students’ learning progress and provide constructive feedback to support their coding proficiency and overall development.
• Maintain effective communication with parents regarding students’ progress, achievements, learning challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Participate in scheduled team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities organized by the company.
• Have the opportunity to deliver coding and robotics extracurricular programs at The Lab Indonesia’s partner schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum S1) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), Education, or another relevant field.
• Prior teaching experience is required. Experience in teaching block-based coding and/or Python programming will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, engage, and inspire students effectively.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in coding or other relevant subjects, such as Mathematics, English, Physics, or Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
• Familiarity with coding or robotics competitions, bootcamps, hackathons, or similar educational and technology-related activities will be considered an advantage.
