Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Network & Server Management: Design, manage, and maintain the company’s networking and server infrastructure to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.

Virtualization & Cloud Operations: Administer and optimize virtualization environments and on-premise servers, and integrate cloud-based services for scalability and efficiency.

Multi-Cloud Platform Support: Deploy and manage services across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Azure, and Huawei Cloud) to meet business and customer needs.

Internal Cloud Development: Contribute to the development of an internal cloud server and edge data center platform, providing capabilities similar to leading public cloud providers.

Edge Data Center Operations: Oversee edge data center operations tailored for small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) customers, ensuring high availability, low latency, and robust performance.

Technical Requirement Analysis: Assess and define detailed server hardware and software requirements for projects, and translate business needs into technical specifications.

Infrastructure Design: Utilize a solid understanding of data center infrastructure and network topology (including virtualization technologies) to architect and improve our systems.

Team Contribution & Leadership: Work effectively as an individual contributor on complex technical tasks and step up to lead or mentor a small technical team when necessary to drive projects to completion.

Requirements

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in networking, server infrastructure, or cloud engineering.

Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of network protocols, server hardware, and system administration. Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM) and managing cloud environments.

Cloud Platform Proficiency: Practical experience working with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, or Huawei Cloud.

Data Center Knowledge: Solid understanding of data center infrastructure and topology, including experience with servers, storage systems, and virtualization in a data center environment.

Analytical Skills: Ability to assess complex technical requirements and design effective infrastructure solutions to meet those needs.

Independent & Team Work: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on challenging tasks. Proven capacity to communicate clearly and collaborate within a team, with occasional leadership of a small technical team or project group.

Adaptability: Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to handle a variety of technologies and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud Certifications: Certifications in cloud technologies (such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Alibaba Cloud Certification, or Huawei Cloud Certification) are a plus and will be considered favorably (but are not mandatory).

Additional Certifications: Relevant certifications in networking (e.g. CCNA/CCNP) or virtualization/data center (e.g. VMware VCP) are an advantage.

Edge/Cloud Experience: Prior experience in developing cloud platforms or working with edge data center solutions for SME customers is a plus.

DevOps/Containerization: Familiarity with DevOps tools and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is appreciated but not required.
