Job summary

PT Sentra Paramitra is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to monitor security logs and analyze traffic across cloud platforms. You will detect anomalies, respond to incidents, and collaborate with DevOps to remediate vulnerabilities.

The role requires hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk/ELK/Microsoft Sentinel) and knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP, with fresh graduates welcome. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field; relevant work experience may substitute.

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools and SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK, Microsoft Sentinel, AWS Security Hub).
• Good knowledge of networks, OS, security concepts (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security logs, alerts, and dashboards across Akamai cloud security platforms.
• Analyze network traffic patterns to identify potential threats.
• Utilize monitoring tools to detect anomalies and IOCs.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents per procedures.
• Conduct RCA and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with DevOps/Engineering to address vulnerabilities.
• Prepare clear incident reports and maintain documentation.
• Configure and tune cloud security monitoring tools.
• Develop custom detection/ correlation rules for SIEM systems.
• Contribute to security policies, standards, and risk assessments.
• Produce periodic cloud security status reports and findings.
• Stay updated on threats, technologies, and best practices.

Responsibilities :

• Monitor security logs, alerts, and dashboards across various Akamai cloud security platforms.
• Analyze network traffic patterns and system activities to identify potential security threats.
• Utilize security monitoring tools and techniques to detect anomalies and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).

Incident Response

• Respond to and investigate security incidents in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with relevant teams, including DevOps and Engineering, to address security vulnerabilities and incidents.
• Prepare clear, comprehensive, and timely incident reports.

Security Monitoring Tools Configuration & Maintenance

• Assist in the configuration, tuning, and maintenance of cloud security monitoring tools.
• Develop and implement custom detection rules and correlation rules within SIEM systems to enhance threat detection capabilities.
• Ensure security monitoring tools operate effectively and security data is collected accurately and consistently.

Security Development & Implementation

• Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide input and recommendations on security best practices for cloud environments.
• Participate in security risk assessments and cloud security audits.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare periodic reports on cloud security status, monitoring activities, and identified findings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to security configurations, incident response procedures, and monitoring tools.

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and third-party stakeholders on cloud security matters.
• Communicate security findings, risks, and recommended actions clearly and concisely.

Continuous Learning & Development

• Stay up to date with the latest cloud security threats, technologies, trends, and industry best practices.
• Participate in relevant training programs and pursue applicable professional certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and cloud services, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Good knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Cloud security certifications, such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
• Experience with security automation and Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR).
• Knowledge of security standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF).
• Experience in penetration testing and/or vulnerability assessment within cloud environments.
