Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Own technical discussions for Azure Migration with customers, leveraging processes, tools, demos, and programs; use consultative and/or Challenger methods; establish rules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams.
- Build strategy: translate the customer vision into a strategy, resolve concerns, prevent and remove technical blockers, and validate a strong business case for investment; work with the customer, account team, and partners to develop an implementation roadmap.
- Drive technical assessments to map the current landscape and develop migration plans, creating a solid migration business case.
- Design solutions using technical knowledge, architectural approach, consultancy skills, and methodology to meet customer needs and facilitate technical decisions.
- Ensure technical decision makers agree on architecture and migration plans.
- Lead Proof of Concepts (POC) and Minimal Viable Products (MVP).
- Scale through partners: act as liaison, facilitate resources, support partner capacity, and provide feedback to internal teams.
- Represent the Voice of Customer: share insights, connect with Engineering to remove blockers, and drive product improvements.
- Identify and support new pipeline creation within customer engagements in collaboration with the Specialist.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field plus 4+ years of experience, or
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field plus 3+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure Certifications: AZ-104 or AZ-305.
- Deep knowledge in Data Center Migration, Windows Server, SQL Server Migration, VMware, Networking, Security, Storage, BCDR, Infra as Code, Hybrid, Arc, with hands-on experience in Azure Migrate and RVTools.
- Knowledge of competitor cloud migration platforms and hybrid cloud technologies.
- Experience creating cloud migration PoCs and MVPs leading to production deployments.
- Excellent communication skills, including executive presence and technical demos.
- Collaborative approach working with customers, teams, and partners.
- Proven ability to build technical relationships with senior executives and manage stakeholder relationships for consensus.
