Job summary

TELUS Digital AI Community seeks a Clinical & Medical AI Expert to validate AI medical reasoning, ground pharmacology accuracy, and annotate biomedical data. You will ensure AI systems reason with clinical rigor and adhere to medical standards in a flexible, project-based environment.

The role focuses on reducing medical hallucinations, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to a global AI community of healthcare professionals. Independent contractor basis.

Qualifications

• Education: MD/MBBS, PharmD, Nursing, or Biomedical Sciences.
• Native-level proficiency (C2+) in your primary language.
• English proficiency at least B1 for technical research and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Reasoning Validation: Audit AI Chain-of-Thought reasoning for medical diagnostics per ICD-11/DSM-5.
• Pharmacological Fact-Grounding: verify AI drug interactions, dosages, contraindications against literature.
• Specialized Biomedical Annotation: label MRI/CT, pathology, and genomic data.
• Risk & Hallucination Mitigation: identify and neutralize medical hallucinations and build safety guardrails.

Job description

At TELUS Digital, we believe that when AI enters the healthcare space, accuracy is a matter of life and death. As a Clinical & Medical AI Expert, you are the guardian of medical truth. You will join an elite circle of healthcare professionals within our AI Community tasked with training Large Language Models (LLMs) on complex diagnostics, pharmacology, and patient care logic. Your role is to ensure that AI does not just "predict" text, but reasons through clinical data with the precision of a board-certified professional.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Clinical Reasoning Validation: Audit AI "Chain-of-Thought" reasoning for medical diagnostics to ensure adherence to international clinical protocols (e.g., ICD-11, DSM-5).
• Pharmacological Fact-Grounding: Rigorously verify AI-generated drug interactions, dosage recommendations, and contraindications against peer-reviewed medical literature.
• Specialized Bio-Medical Annotation: Precisely label complex datasets—including MRI/CT scans, pathology reports, and genomic data—to improve model visual-spatial reasoning.
• Risk & Hallucination Mitigation: Identify and neutralize "medical hallucinations" that could lead to patient harm, creating high-fidelity safety guardrails for clinical environments.

Qualification path

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MD/MBBS), Pharmacy (PharmD), Nursing, or Biomedical Sciences.
• Native Language: Native-level proficiency (C2+) in your primary language is mandatory to interpret regional medical terminology and localized patient nuances.
• English Proficiency: Minimum B1 (Intermediate) level English for technical research and reporting.

Assessment:

In order to be hired into our community, you’ll go through a subject-specific qualification exam that will determine your suitability for the position and complete ID verification.

Payment:

Currently, pay rates for experts range from $20 - $50 USD per hour
