Classical Dance Teacher (Ballet, Jazz & Tap)

The Classical Dance Teacher (Ballet, Jazz & Tap) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bali, Indonesia. The teacher will plan and deliver high-quality classes in ballet, jazz, and tap for different age groups and levels, focusing on technique, musicality, and performance skills.

Key responsibilities

• Create lesson plans and structure classes for different age groups and skill levels


• Demonstrate choreography and exercises to students


• Provide constructive feedback to guide student development


• Prepare students for recitals and performances


• Collaborate with other instructors on curriculum and events


• Maintain clear communication with students, families, and school administration


• Model professionalism, punctuality, and respect


• Foster an inclusive and encouraging learning atmosphere

About you

• Strong skills in dance instruction and teaching, with the ability to guide students (kids & teens) at beginner through advanced levels


• Background in dance education, including lesson planning, class structuring, and student assessment


• Advanced proficiency in classical dance forms, specifically ballet, jazz, and tap


• Solid understanding of music and rhythm to support choreography, timing, and performance quality


• Previous experience teaching in a dance school or studio environment, ideally with mixed-age classes


• Ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment for all students


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with clear demonstration and feedback techniques


• Relevant dance certifications or formal training from recognized institutions; performance experience is an advantage


• 2+ years of experience in training


• Willingness to work on-site in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, with flexibility for evening classes as needed
