PT Supraco Indonesiawas founded in 1979 with the name of PT Summa Prakarsa Corporation aiming, initially to provide local service to many foreign oil and gas companies in Indonesia at that time. One of the business activity being managed was expatriate management service.

In the decade of 1980s PT Supraco Indonesia expands by entering oil and gas industry and starting to conduct business activities by providing operations and maintenance support services and gradually expanding by providing warehouse management and camp services.
