A prominent engineering consulting firm in Jakarta Selatan is seeking a Civil Design Technician. The role involves creating detailed designs using CAD software and collaborating with team members to ensure project specifications are met. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and Revit. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential.
Creating Detailed Designs: Utilize CAD software to produce detailed 2D and 3D modelling and schematics for road and infrastructure design and construction projects; Convert existing design plans into CAD drawings.
Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers and project managers to understand project specifications and requirements; collaborate with construction teams to ensure accurate implementation of blueprints.
Modifying and Optimizing Designs: Edit and revise existing drawings to reflect changes in design or project scope; optimize designs to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Quality Control: Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure high accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations; maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access and reference.
Technical Support: Assist in the preparation of project presentations and reports for stakeholders; Stay updated with the latest BIM/CAD technologies and industry trends.
Interpreting project briefs and meeting with Team Leader, Project Manager, engineers, and clients (if needed) to ensure all blueprints and technical drawings are completed to specifications.
Producing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and blueprints.
Visiting sites (if needed) to gather information and determine limitations and feasibility of designs.
Updating software, drawings, and other documents.
Remaining professional when feedback is delivered and implementing any changes to drafts as soon as possible.
Ensuring drawings are compliant with building regulations and engineering principles.
Communicating potential design issues to engineers and Team Leader/Project Manager.
REQUIREMENT :
Education : Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in civil engineering or any relevant field.
Skills :
Proficiency in CAD software, familiar with AutoCAD Civil3D, Revit and other design tools. InfraWorks is desirable.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of industry standards, national code and regulations
A completed apprenticeship would be advantageous
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Superb work ethic and ability to accept feedback
Willing to work overtime when required
Experience :
At least 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
Experience in a engineering consultant firm, contractor is required.
Experience abroad is a strong advantage.
Languages : English, it is required to understand reading, writing, and speaking
