About the role

China ENFI Engineering Corporation' is seeking a Mandarin Translator for a contract position based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. As a Mandarin Translator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between our organisation and our partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and information exchange.

What you'll be doing

Providing accurate and timely translation services, converting written and verbal Mandarin content into English and vice versa

Interpreting during meetings, discussions and negotiations to enable clear and effective communication

Reviewing and editing translated materials to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness

Assisting with the localisation of company documents, reports and other communications

Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Staying up-to-date with industry terminology and best practices in translation

What we're looking for

Fluency in both Mandarin , with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven experience as a professional Mandarin translator, preferably in a business or technical environment

Strong understanding of cultural nuances and ability to adapt translations accordingly

Excellent time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines

Commitment to accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work independently

Familiarity with translation tools and software, such as CAT tools, is desirable
