The Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as the right hand to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for driving operational excellence across Solve Education!. This role provides strategic leadership, oversees core functions, and ensures the organisation is equipped to achieve its vision and growth objectives.

The COO is entrusted with leading a team of high-performing professionals, building a culture of efficiency and inclusivity, and aligning people, processes, and resources to maximise impact. The role requires a leader with proven executive experience, strong business acumen, and the ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.

Before You Apply This is not a routine or narrowly defined role. As COO, you’ll be expected to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution. You’ll manage complex operations, oversee people processes, and guide financial and regulatory matters — all while ensuring seamless alignment with the CEO’s vision. You must stay calm under pressure, navigate ambiguity with sound decision-making, and keep the organisation moving forward in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO to set and drive organisational vision, operations strategy, and growth plans.
• Translate high-level strategies into actionable steps, including annual operations planning, company-wide goal setting, and performance management cycles.
• Oversee operations, HR, and accounting, while partnering with the CEO on sales management to support near-term growth targets.
• Lead change management initiatives to support organisational transformation and scalability.

People & Culture

• Build and sustain a highly inclusive culture where employees thrive and goals are achieved.
• Ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and retention strategies.
• Oversee performance management frameworks that encourage growth, accountability, and innovation.
• Develop initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and long-term retention.

Operations & Financial Management

• Analyze internal operations and identify areas for efficiency and process improvement.
• Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to meet investor targets for growth and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with national and local regulations, taking timely action when necessary.
• Implement business strategies, policies, and procedures that support both short- and long-term objectives.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Monitor organisational performance using tracking systems, prepare forecasts, and recommend corrective measures where needed.
• Represent the organisation externally to enhance credibility, partnerships, and opportunities for growth.

What We’re Looking For

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Work Experience

• Minimum 5+ years in executive leadership roles.
