We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned professional to join our executive leadership team as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a well-established, fast-growing banking institution in Laos.
In this pivotal role, the COO will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the bank, optimizing core banking functions, leading cross-functional teams, and supporting the organization’s strategic growth, innovation initiatives, and commitment to outstanding customer service in the Lao financial sector.
Key Responsibilities
· Operational Leadership: Oversee daily banking operations, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with strategic objectives.
· Strategic Planning: Drive initiatives to expand services, streamline processes, and reinforce the bank’s competitive position in the market.
· Performance Management: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), optimize resource utilization, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all operational areas.
· Risk & Compliance Oversight: Ensure full adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management protocols across operations.
· Technology & Innovation: Champion digital transformation efforts and strengthen the bank’s operational technology infrastructure.
· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across operations, credit, branch management, and support functions.
· Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting processes, control operational costs, and implement cost-effective measures to support financial health.
What We’re Looking For
· Educational Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
· Industry Experience: At least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role within the banking or financial services industry.
· Strategic Vision: Proven ability to identify growth opportunities and execute long-term strategic initiatives.
· Relationship Management: Skilled in building and nurturing lasting relationships with clients, regulators, and strategic partners.
