Job description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of our coal mining business. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, risk management, reporting, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of mining industry regulations, and proven expertise in managing large-scale financial operations.

Job Purpose

To provide strategic financial leadership and ensure the company’s financial health by managing capital, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with Indonesian mining and financial regulations. The CFO will act as a key advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors, driving sustainable growth and profitability in coal mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives and mining operations
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian financial regulations, tax laws, and Minerba Law (Law No. 3/2020)
• Supervise preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP
• Manage capital structure, cash flow, and investment planning to support mining projects
• Manage budgets and ensure operational efficiency
• Oversee the audit process and compliance with financial regulations
• Manage fund raising, loan portfolio and relationships with financial institutions (bank relationship)
• Ensure compliance with profitability and risk guidelines
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors
• Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team to achieve operational excellence

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred

Certification

• Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA is highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and Indonesian tax regulations
• Deep understanding of coal mining industry financial dynamics and Minerba Law compliance

• Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced financial modelling tools
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) for reporting and stakeholder communication
