Job description

Chief Finance Officer (CFO) - Energy Biomass Methane Hydrogen

Founded in 1990, our group has evolved from a local enterprise into a dynamic investment holding company with a diverse portfolio in energy, property development, and logistics. Our core operations include thermal coal mining in East Kalimantan, residential development in Bekasi, Tangerang, and the IKN area, and an integrated coal terminal and trading network.

As we align with global sustainability trends, we are actively expanding into green energy and circular economy solutions, including organic fertilizer, food estates, carbon credits, and renewable energy innovations such as biomass-to-hydrogen conversion. With headquarters in Singapore and a growing regional presence, we aim to drive long-term, sustainable value through responsible innovation and investment excellence.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking CFO to lead the financial strategy and operations of our renewable energy division, with a focus on biomass, methane, and hydrogen technologies. This executive will be responsible for building financial infrastructure, managing funding strategies, and driving profitability in an early-stage environment where strategic agility and long-term vision are key.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and lead the financial roadmap for biomass-to-hydrogen and sustainable energy ventures
  2. Oversee end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across energy projects
  3. Implement effective capital structure and funding strategies to support growth and R&D investments
  4. Ensure regulatory compliance with local and international tax, financial, and ESG-related standards (IFRS, PSAK, GAAP)
  5. Provide strategic insight into investment opportunities, corporate partnerships, and M&A transactions
  6. Build and maintain relationships with banks, investment firms, venture partners, and strategic stakeholders
  7. Oversee risk management, internal controls, and reporting frameworks for project transparency and governance
  8. Drive digital finance transformation, integrating ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle) and fintech tools to streamline operations
  9. Lead and mentor the finance team, embedding a results-driven and compliance-focused culture
  10. Represent the company in board-level financial discussions and investor communications
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred
  2. Minimum 8 years of financial experience with at least 3 years in a C-level or senior leadership role
  3. Proven background in renewable energy, green infrastructure, or sustainable technology sectors
  4. Expertise in financial strategy, investment analysis, M&A, and international funding
  5. Knowledge of carbon credit schemes, government energy incentives, and project finance structures
  6. Strong command of financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and risk management frameworks
  7. Hands-on experience in building financial operations from the ground up, especially in early-stage or transition-phase companies
  8. Fluent in English; Bahasa Indonesia and/or Mandarin is a plus
  9. Willingness to travel and work closely with cross-border teams in Indonesia and Singapore
Key Selling Points
  1. Executive leadership role in one of Indonesia’s most forward-looking green energy ventures
  2. Opportunity to build and shape finance operations for a next-generation energy business
  3. Backed by a diversified, high-growth holding company with over 30 years of market presence
