Job summary

Amandari in Bali is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all engineering and maintenance operations across the resort, guestrooms, and public areas. You will lead the engineering team, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure facilities meet five-star hotel standards to deliver guest comfort.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, proven leadership, and fluent English, with hands-on independence and collaboration with hotel leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as Chief Engineer in a five-star hotel.
• Experience in a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of hotel engineering systems.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Good problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Hands-on, organized, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Engineering and Maintenance operations.
• Lead and supervise the Engineering team.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel facilities.
• Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, water treatment, swimming pools, kitchen equipment, and other hotel systems.
• Carry out and supervise repair and maintenance work.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers when required.
• Monitor engineering costs, spare parts, equipment, and utilities.
• Support renovation, refurbishment, and engineering projects.
• Work closely with the General Manager and Resort Manager.
• Ensure a high standard of property condition and guest comfort.

The Chief Engineer is responsible for managing all engineering and maintenance operations at Amandari. The role ensures that the resort, guestrooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities are maintained in good working condition and meet hotel standards.

Requirements
