Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Engineering and Maintenance operations.
• Lead and supervise the Engineering team.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain guestrooms, public areas, back‑of‑house areas, and hotel facilities.
• Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, water treatment, and other hotel systems.
• Carry out and supervise repair and maintenance work.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers when required.
• Monitor engineering costs, spare parts, equipment, and utilities.
• Support renovation, refurbishment, and engineering projects.
• Work closely with the General Manager, Resort Manager, to ensure high property condition and guest comfort.

Location Overview

Role Purpose

The Chief Engineer is responsible for managing all engineering and maintenance operations at Amandari. The role ensures that the resort, guestrooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities are maintained in good working condition and meet hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily Engineering and Maintenance operations.
• Lead and supervise the Engineering team.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel facilities.
• Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, water treatment, swimming pools, kitchen equipment, and other hotel systems.
• Carry out and supervise repair and maintenance work.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers when required.
• Monitor engineering costs, spare parts, equipment, and utilities.
• Support renovation, refurbishment, and engineering projects.
• Work closely with the General Manager, Resort Manager, Ensure a high standard of property condition and guest comfort.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experiences as Chief Engineer in Five Star Hotel
• Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of hotel engineering systems.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Hands-on, organized, and able to work independently.
