Job Description
As Chief of Digital, reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage a multi-generational team. Your main responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing digital strategies to make the new e-commerce unit a key driver of business growth.
- Leading the digital team to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Overseeing customer journey and digital marketing initiatives to achieve profitability.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and improving the online customer experience.
- Analyzing e-commerce trends and industry developments.
- Managing relationships with external e-commerce partners and suppliers.
- Ensuring high standards of customer service across all digital platforms.
- Driving innovation and staying ahead of trends in e-commerce to maintain competitive advantage.
- Developing and executing a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with business goals.
- Overseeing website and mobile platform design, development, and optimization.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.
- Defining and owning the product strategy and roadmap for e-commerce platforms.
- Leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital products.
- Driving customer-centric product development based on data, feedback, and usability research.
The Successful Applicant
Ideal candidates should communicate fluently in English and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Additional requirements include:
- A degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related fields from a reputable university.
- Proven leadership experience in e-commerce roles, either within marketplaces or traditional companies.
- Experience with omni-channel strategies is highly valuable.
- Excellent knowledge of e-commerce best practices.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A forward-thinking mindset and passion for innovation.
- Minimum of 20+ years of work experience, with at least 8 years in relevant roles (digital/product management, commercial, or e-commerce).
- Hands-on ability and agility in fast-paced environments.
- Proven success in launching and scaling digital products.
- Deep understanding of e-commerce ecosystems, including catalog management, checkout flows, personalization, and optimization.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience mentoring high-performing teams.
