Job summary

The Guest Society (TGS) seeks an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function for hotel operations in Bali. You will oversee daily finance activities and ensure accurate, timely reporting across property levels.

Key responsibilities include monthly statements, budgeting, and controls, with a focus on hotel revenue & cost management, compliance with Indonesian regulations, and building a strong finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Experience in Chief Accountant/Financial Controller or supervisory role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards, taxation, and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Experience with hotel PMS/POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting and finance operations for the property.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and analysis.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of all financial transactions.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GL, cash, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
• Develop and lead the accounting team; enforce internal controls.

Job description

The Guest Society (TGS) is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily accounting and finance operations of the property
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of all financial transactions
• Monitor Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash, and Bank Reconciliation
• Oversee daily revenue reconciliation and ensure proper recording of hotel revenue
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to minimize financial risks and discrepancies
• Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team to ensure efficient and professional performance

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or hotel industry
• Previous experience in a Chief Accountant, Financial Controller, or equivalent supervisory role is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of hotel accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial regulations applicable in Indonesia
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/financial management systems
• Experience with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, and accounting software is an advantage
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and integrity
• Strong leadership and team management skills
