Position Summary

The Channel Development Associate plays a crucial role in expanding Wadhwani Foundation’s partner ecosystem in Indonesia by owning the top-of-the-funnel process in Business Development. Reporting to the Country Director, this role is responsible for conducting research, analyzing potential partners against set criteria, gathering contact information, and passing qualified leads to the Channel Development Head and Manager. This position focuses on identifying and engaging with demand-side partners, including industry players, and academic and vocational training institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and Partner Identification:
  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential partners, including industry players, academia, and vocational training institutions.
  • Analyze market trends and opportunities to identify high-potential partners that align with Wadhwani Foundation’s strategic goals.
  • Partner Analysis and Qualification:
  • Evaluate potential partners against established criteria to ensure they meet the Foundation’s standards and objectives.
  • Assess each partner's capacity, alignment, and potential impact as a demand-side or academic partner.
  • Data Collection and Management:
  • Gather and verify contact information and other relevant data for potential partners.
  • Maintain an organized database of leads, ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible.
  • Lead Handover:
  • Share qualified leads and detailed data with the Channel Development Head and Manager, supporting them in the next stages of partner engagement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on research findings to inform the partner acquisition strategy.
  • Market and Industry Insights:
  • Stay updated on market developments, competitor activities, and industry best practices to identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Share insights with the broader team to enhance the Foundation’s approach to channel development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Channel Development team, providing support in refining partner acquisition strategies.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams, including Business Development and Program Operations, to ensure alignment and effective handovers.
  • Reporting and Feedback:
  • Regularly report on research findings, lead generation activities, and the status of potential partners.
  • Provide feedback on the partner qualification process and suggest improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of top-of-the-funnel activities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in research, business development, sales support, or a similar role, preferably within education, training, or industry sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate potential partners and identify high-impact opportunities.
  • Excellent research skills and proficiency in using digital tools and databases for lead generation.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for building relationships and driving impact.
