Job Description:

A carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing various wooden structures. The role involves working with a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, hammers, and chisels.

Job Requirements:

1. Certificate or Diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training program is preferred.
3. Relevant experience in carpentry or related field is preferred.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
5. Proficient with a range of carpentry tools and equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the materials required and the scope of work.
2. Measure, cut, shape, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
3. Build, install, and repair wooden furniture, cabinets, and shelves.
4. Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and hard hats.
5. Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
6. Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects.
