Job Summary

Responsible for managing MRP to ensure that materials supply equals demand and to support optimization of the overall cost of materials.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Support customers’ business needs using standard processes where possible and customized solutions where necessary. Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager and SCM to determine the best approach to meet the customer's needs. Influence customers’ supply chain strategies to leverage those of Jabil.
  2. Communicate Jabil's expectations to the suppliers. Conduct supplier audits/visits, certifications, and performance reviews to develop and continuously improve the supply base. Obtain feedback from Materials Planners on suppliers’ delivery, quality, and service performance.
  3. Make sourcing decisions based on overall cost and benefit, including price, duty, freight, flexibility, service, performance, quality, and terms & conditions.
  4. Negotiate terms and conditions that protect the best interests of Jabil and its customers. Negotiate liability terms, special stocking arrangements, and other agreements that are outside of standard Jabil terms and conditions.
  5. Ensure execution of Jabil pricing and terms & conditions agreements such as World Wide Purchasing Agreements that are negotiated and agreed to by Jabil.
  6. Analyze and project component purchase prices that accurately reflect the inventory value for a financial period in Standard Costing process.
  7. Collaborate with Materials Planners and monitor, track, and provide feedback on suppliers’ performance for continuous improvement.
  8. Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
JOB QUALIFICATION

  1. Minimum Diploma Degree from any major.
  2. At least 5-6 years as a buyer or related job experience.
  3. Experience in Aerospace/Automotive/Manufacturing industries with multinational exposure.
  4. Experience using an ERP System.
  5. Good communication & negotiation skills; Bahasa & English. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  6. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
