Working Hours: 35 Hours per week
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (six month role with possibility of further extension due to funding)
Additional Payments: Casual Car User Allowance

This role is subject to:
Casual Car Documentation: The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.
About the service:
The Digital Inclusion Team at Manchester City Council is at the forefront of digital inclusion work both regionally and nationally. Through a range of innovative programs, the Digital Inclusion Team is making Manchester a more connected and empowered city.
As more and more essential services are adopting a digital-first approach, those people without either a device, connectivity, or the skills and confidence to get online are becoming both digitally and socially excluded.
In order to tackle digital exclusion, the Digital Inclusion Team work with partners to develop initiatives so that our residents have the access, motivation and skills needed to navigate the digital landscape with confidence.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled administrator to support the Digital Inclusion Team to carry out its projects and partnership work. The role involves general administration, project support functions, liaising with external partners, production of marketing materials and supporting delivery of the Digital Inclusion Action Plan.
About the Candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with demonstrable experience of working successfully in an office environment and proven abilities in working directly with residents. The candidate will have good interpersonal skills, have the ability to work both independently and in a team, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. You will need a high level of organisational skills and be competent in a range of software (for example Microsoft Office and content management systems). You will have an awareness of digital exclusion and will be motivated to help address it.
The post holder will be required to work flexible hours in response to service requirements including evenings and weekends.
