Job description

Lead operational excellence initiatives within a leading Indonesian mining conglomerate. Drive CAPEX projects of continuous improvement across mining operations, processing plants, and supply chains using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify inefficiencies, implement data-driven solutions, and foster a culture of innovation and sustainability.

Description

As the Business Improvement Manager, you will:

  1. Lead and implement Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies across mining CAPEX projects, operations, processing plants, and supply chain functions.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, develop business cases, and drive initiatives that enhance productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Facilitate cross-functional workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  4. Oversee the execution of improvement projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timely delivery of results.
  5. Report on the progress of initiatives to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and areas requiring attention.
Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, Operations Management, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 8 years' experience in business improvement or operational excellence roles within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
  3. Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement tools.
  4. Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and performance monitoring.
  5. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
  6. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading complex projects.
  7. Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives and the integration of technology into operational processes.
