Job Description

As the Business Improvement Manager, you will:

  • Lead and implement Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies across mining CAPEX project, operations, processing plants, and supply chain functions.
  • Collaborate with shareholders to identify inefficiencies, develop business cases, and drive initiatives that enhance productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Oversee the execution of improvement projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timely delivery of results.
  • Report on the progress of initiatives to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and areas requiring attention.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in business improvement or operational excellence roles within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading complex projects.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives and the integration of technology into operational processes.
