We are seeking an experienced leader to drive our Indonesia business to new heights.
As the Business Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organization, developing a strong and sustainable organization to drive sales and profit growth of the MedComms (MC) and Marketing Platform (MPF) business units in the Indonesia market.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Leadership: Guide, mentor, and lead our talented team to establish MIMS as a best-in-class Medical Marketing business within the Indonesia market
Strategy: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive growth, enhance our service offerings and expand our client base.
Business Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs to proactively propose MIMS solutions.
Operations: Ensure high quality delivery and continued client satisfaction by enhancing capabilities and workflows.
The Business Director will need to demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a keen understanding of pharmaceutical and healthcare industry trends to successfully develop and drive the continued growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead overall sales and marketing activities, identifying growth opportunities that align company strategic direction with local market requirements and ensuring the long-term sustainability and profitability of the company services and solutions.
- Effective financial management. Monitor, evaluate and take corrective actions as necessary to achieve revenue and profit growth targets and associated key performance indicators.
- Develop consultative relationships and a deep client understanding to enable you to proactively champion and promote the full spectrum of MIMS solutions to achieve the full potential of target client accounts and MIMS service offerings.
- Propose new product / solution development through maintaining a broad understanding of market trends and client needs.
- Implement systems and processes to ensure efficient delivery to the highest standards. Continually monitor, evaluate and take corrective action as necessary.
- Optimize organisational structure, identify skill gaps, nurture key talent and recruit to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Set clear goals and expectations for direct line reports and undertake regular performance, training and career development reviews.
- Motivate employees to improve performance by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Work closely with regional teams to establish and champion the implementation of organizational protocols, processes and tools.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years working in healthcare agency, pharmaceutical industry, or equivalent environment
- Proven leadership skills (cross-functional teams). Experience managing direct reports to provide direction, coaching, and mentoring
- Strong strategic acumen in helping clients with their business and in leading internal teams to develop strategic plans
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation in English and Indonesia Bahasa for working local clients and regional stakeholders.
- Skilled in new/organic business development; can work with team members to identify and capitalize on business opportunities

- A recognized bachelor’s degree; preferably in Life Sciences, Business Management or Marketing
