Job Description
- Research companies to contact.
- Initiate relationships with potential Accountants or Business Managers for Business Development Sales roles in Accounting Products.
- Make cold and warm calls to follow up or preempt email communications, manage the entire sales cycle—from prospecting to closing, including demos.
- Experiment with different outreach strategies to identify successful approaches.
- Collaborate with engineering and customer success teams to provide product feedback and feature requests.
- Work with marketing to identify opportunities from leads and set appointments.
- Utilize strong selling and influencing skills to set up qualified appointments.
- Log, track, and maintain customer contact records.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Preferably have an accounting/management background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable speaking with mid-level and senior executives.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, results-focused, scrappy, and competitive.
- Desire to achieve results and improve daily.
- Experience in sales or marketing is a plus but not required.
- 1-2 years of experience in cold calling and selling SaaS or IT products to SMEs/SMBs is preferred; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Track record of over-achieving quota is a plus.
- Proficient with productivity and web presentation tools.
- Positive attitude, hustle, resilience, and eagerness for feedback.
- Self-motivated with good self-management skills.
- Experience selling to HR Managers, CEOs, Accountants, or Finance Managers is a big plus.
- Comfortable working in a small, distributed team.
