Job description

Business Development Staff (Chinese Market) will assist in identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the company’s presence in the Chinese payment industry. They will focus on translating product features, presenting the application to clients, and providing support in building relationships with Chinese-speaking customers. This is an executional role requiring a mix of language proficiency, market understanding, and client engagement skills.

Responsibilities:

Translation & Localization:
Translate product features, user guides, and marketing materials from Indonesian or English to Chinese with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.

Assist in preparing presentations and materials tailored for Chinese-speaking clients.
Present product features and solutions during client meetings or webinars under the guidance of senior team members.

Customer Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with Chinese-speaking customers.
Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams for feature requests, issues, or feedback.

Market Research Assistance:
Support market research efforts by gathering information on Chinese payment industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings.

Sales Support:
Support the preparation of sales proposals and quotes for Chinese-speaking clients.

Operational Coordination:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, and development) to ensure the timely execution of tasks related to the Chinese market.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in CRM systems.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Linguistics, or a related field.

Fresh graduate or part-time experience in business development, sales, customer relations, or translation preferred. Experience in fintech or payments is a plus.

Native or fluent in Mandarin (written and spoken), and proficient in Indonesian or English for internal communication.

Familiar with business and technical terms in Mandarin and English.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical features clearly.

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Basic understanding of fintech and payment systems.

Quick learner, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to research market trends and competitors.

Capable of identifying customer needs and offering suitable solutions.

Deep understanding of Chinese culture and business etiquette.

Ability to navigate cultural nuances in client communication and presentations.

Strong team player, effective in cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, development).

Willingness to travel to China or attend in-person meetings/events (optional).
