About the job: Business Development Executive

Our client is a renowned chemical manufacturing company that has expanded rapidly over recent years, with extensive distribution networks and services.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to build, develop, and maintain customer relationships within the assigned geographical area (Indonesia), to achieve sales development and financial objectives (e.g., PNS, EBIT, WOC, etc.).

The role involves executing market and sales strategies for the designated area (Indonesia - Surabaya) to ensure the achievement of sales goals through effective customer management, focusing on the Printing and Packaging Solution (PPS) sector.

The Challenges

  • Plan and monitor the budget for the territory, ensuring compliance. Prepare sales plans based on the Annual Business Plan (ABP), including customer-specific strategies and market development concepts.
  • Coordinate planning efforts with the direct supervisor.
  • Implement market and sales strategies to improve market coverage and penetration for profitable growth.
  • Prospect, identify, and generate profitable sales within the target market.
  • Collaborate with support teams to achieve borderless business objectives.
  • Engage in consultative selling, maintaining an in-depth understanding of market needs and supply chain dynamics.
  • Manage sales activities through direct customer management or via distributors.
  • Aim to grow current distribution sales and develop new business opportunities.
  • Develop and monitor business plans and objectives for key customers, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Formulate sales approaches, including pricing, service levels, and product assortment strategies, in agreement with superiors.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure proper order processing and delivery.
  • Manage collections of outstanding accounts receivable, aligning with company policies and payment terms.
  • Conduct product presentations and support application requirements through collaboration with regional marketing teams.
  • Formulate long-term growth strategies for assigned markets with managerial approval.
  • Maintain activity and project records, updating supervisors regularly.
  • Prepare monthly reports and activity updates.
