Note: This role is not focused on selling SaaS, as SuperFood is free (Rp0) for food merchants.
The Business Development function is responsible for sustainably expanding SuperFood's merchant ecosystem. Its primary focus is on increasing the number of quality merchants, optimizing the onboarding process, and driving merchant performance and loyalty through strategic and relational approaches.
- Acquire potential merchants aligned with SuperFood’s brand and market segmentation.
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, from registration and training to operational setup.
- Monitor merchant performance and provide insights and recommendations to drive sales growth.
- Serve as the main liaison between merchants and internal teams to address needs, challenges, and collaboration opportunities.
- Develop and implement merchant loyalty programs such as training, performance incentives, and content collaborations.
- Create merchant segmentation and management strategies based on performance data and growth potential.
- Document all acquisition, onboarding processes, and merchant feedback for continuous improvement.
- Prepare merchant progress reports and strategic recommendations for management.
- Number of new merchants acquired per month.
- Conversion rate from onboarding to first transaction.
- Merchant retention rate (active merchants within 3–6 months).
- Response time to merchant needs and issues.
- Merchant satisfaction (survey results & feedback).
- Merchant participation in loyalty programs or internal collaborations.
- Responsible for the full merchant acquisition, onboarding, and development process within SuperFood's ecosystem.
- Collaborate with the Account and Product teams to support merchant needs end-to-end.
- Represent SuperFood in building long-term strategic relationships with merchants.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Forms, Sheets, Docs, Meet), CRM tools or internal dashboards, and Miro for process mapping and collaboration.
- At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably in the F&B, tech, or startup industries.
- Deep understanding of the partner or merchant acquisition and retention cycle.
- Ability to build strong, credible relationships with business partners from diverse backgrounds.
- Comfortable using data for performance analysis and strategic decision-making.
- Strong communicator, proactive, and experienced in working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in presentation, negotiation, and partnership proposal development.
