A leading company in the industry is looking for a Business Development professional to enhance its strategic direction through macroeconomic analysis and government affairs insights. The role entails building networks with key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting business units in their development strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background combined with considerable experience in economic research and business development.
MBA or Master’s degree, preferably from an international institution.
Minimum 5 years of experience in economic research, business development, government affairs, and digitalization (AI)
Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships.
High level of initiative and motivation; able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data visualization and research tools is a plus.
Knowledge of government structures, licensing processes, and policy-making mechanisms is an advantage.
Interest in government affairs, ESG, regulatory strategy and company’s digitalization.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct through macroeconomic and policy analysis to assess trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to SCG’s strategic direction.
Support business development activities through market intelligence, stakeholder mapping, and strategic insights.
Build and maintain strong networks with government agencies, industry associations, and key stakeholders to facilitate partnerships and policy alignment.
Monitor and analyse government regulations, policy changes, and legislative developments impacting the business.
Maintain and update databases on policy developments, government initiatives, and relevant market trends.
Provide timely reporting and documentation support for licensing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with business unit needs.
Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefing documents for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Draft official correspondence, including position papers and internal memos.
Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and strategic engagement events with external partners and internal teams.
Coordinate with business units to address regulatory needs and provide proactive support for their operations and initiatives.
