Job Purpose
To ensure the quality of credit proposals and the completeness of credit administration from the branch is maintained through a process of review, monitoring, and control over each credit submission. The Business Control Executive acts as an internal control at the branch level, responsible for ensuring that all processes of credit proposal, approval, and disbursement are carried out in accordance with the bank’s internal policies and applicable external regulations, and escalates any findings or potential deviations that require follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial reviews on the completeness and reasonableness of credit proposal documents prepared by Account Officers before submission to the head office or credit committee.
- Ensure that all terms and conditions in the credit approval (credit approval conditions) are fully met before the credit agreement is signed.
- Verify and confirm disbursement conditions and ensure no disbursement occurs before these conditions are fulfilled.
- Perform final checks on legal and administrative credit documents, including the validity of agreements, collateral, and other supporting documents.
- Ensure that credit administration processes, including data input into the system, are performed accurately and timely.
- Monitor the fulfillment status of post-disbursement conditions, including checking for deferred or conditional documents.
- Prepare and submit reports of findings or deviations to the Branch Manager and relevant units, and escalate when necessary.
- Execute internal control functions at the branch related to credit activities and ensure adequate segregation of duties.
- Coordinate with risk, compliance, and legal units to ensure that credit processes at the branch are aligned with applicable policies and regulations.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements when weaknesses are found in the implementation of credit procedures at the branch.
Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (S1)
- Credit Analysis & Review – Understand the basic principles of credit analysis, including financing structures, borrower characteristics, credit risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Credit Policy & Procedures – Knowledge and understanding of the bank's internal policies and external regulations related to credit provision.
- Reporting & Documentation – Able to prepare control reports, credit review results, and document findings.

- Analytical Thinking – Able to process information logically, identify patterns or issues in credit applications, and make data-driven assessments.
- Initiative & Proactiveness – Not just waiting for instructions, but actively identifying potential risks and opportunities for process improvement to enhance credit control quality at the branch.
Relevant Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years specifically as a credit analyst or in a credit review role.
