Job description

HydroNeo is a fast-growing international startup bringing smart farming technology to the aquaculture industry. We’re already a market leader in Thailand — and now we’re expanding into Indonesia.

To make this happen, we’re looking for a hands-on, reliable, and mature allrounder who can support our CEO and founder in setting up and running our Indonesian operations.

About the Role

This is not a typical corporate job — it’s a role for someone who gets things done, takes ownership, and wants to build something meaningful from the ground up.

You’ll work closely with our CEO, helping with everything from setting up the local company, finding an office, and handling paperwork to keeping daily operations organized and smooth. Over time, this position will naturally evolve into a Business Administration, Office Management, or similar role as our local team grows.

We’re a startup, not a big corporation. Things move fast, responsibilities are broad, and flexibility is key. You’ll have a lot of trust and freedom — but also real responsibility to make things happen properly.

Tasks
  • Be the go-to person for “everything that needs to get done” during the setup phase and beyond for the CEO
  • Support the CEO directly in setting up HydroNeo’s business operations in Indonesia
  • Work directly with the CEO to support all administrative, operational, and coordination tasks
  • Handle company setup processes, government filings, and liaise with local service providers
  • Manage day-to-day office administration: supplier coordination, document management, and local logistics
  • Support accounting preparation, such as organizing invoices, expense documentation, and coordinating with external accountants
  • Take care of paperwork and compliance — ensuring things are done correctly and on time
  • Help with recruiting and onboarding new local staff as we grow
  • Support general business operations — anything from setting up systems to making sure daily life in the office runs smoothly
Requirements
  • Hands-on, organized, and reliable personality with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Positive, solution-oriented mindset — someone who gets things done and ensures they are done well
  • Previous experience in business administration, office management, or executive assistance
  • Strong understanding of the Indonesian business environment, including handling legal and administrative paperwork
  • Able to manage filings and government processes independently, without always relying on external lawyers or consultants
  • Good English communication skills (spoken and written); fluency in Bahasa Indonesia required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with many moving parts and limited structure at the beginning
  • Tech-savvy in standard business apps to fully engage in our team across countries and to strive for a paper-less company (e.g. TEAMS, Microsoft Office, or other modern collaboration platforms)
  • Willingness to occasionally travel if required for any reason
Benefits

This is a rare opportunity to be part of something from day one — helping to establish HydroNeo’s presence in Indonesia and shaping the foundation for our future growth. You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team, gaining broad exposure to all aspects of business operations in an international startup.

We offer:

  • Competitive salary and growth opportunities
  • Employee Stock Options (ESOP) — participate in HydroNeo’s long-term success
  • High autonomy and flexibility — your impact will be visible every day
  • The opportunity to help build a business that creates real, measurable impact in sustainable aquaculture
  • International work environment with a passionate and supportive team
