Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Head of Bunker to lead procurement, planning, and cost control for bunker supplies across shipping and mining operations. The role focuses on securing reliable fuel availability, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing costs while coordinating with Operations, Commercial, Technical and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in maritime, shipping, logistics, supply chain, business, engineering or finance.
• Strong knowledge of marine fuel procurement and bunker operations.
• Proven experience in negotiating bunker prices and supplier terms.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to vessels, ports and operational sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bunker procurement, planning, supply, and cost-control for fleet and mining-related operations.
• Develop and execute overall bunker procurement strategy for the fleet and related operations.
• Coordinate with Operations, Commercial, Technical, and Finance to forecast fuel requirements and ensure timely bunker deliveries.
• Monitor bunker expenditure, analyze prices and consumption, and manage budgets and forecasts.
• Develop contingency plans for fuel supply disruptions and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Build and maintain supplier networks, negotiate framework agreements, and monitor performance.
• Lead and develop the bunker procurement team and communicate market developments to senior management.
