Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Jakarta is seeking a Commis de Cuisine Bakery to join the Culinary Team at our esteemed property. Based in Jakarta, you will assist senior chefs in bakery food preparation, portions, and daily station operations, upholding MOHG standards and quality.

You will ensure HACCP compliance, optimize productivity, and mentor trainees while contributing to cost control and menu planning. A minimum of 1 year in bakery cooking and strong English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two-year degree or Apprenticeship.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the same position (Commis de Cuisine - Bakery), preferably within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Bakery station and assist senior chefs.
• Prepare menus using quality, available, and seasonal ingredients, and complete daily and weekly market lists.
• Maintain HACCP standards and health and safety compliance.
• Develop skills and supervise kitchen trainees.
