Job Opening: Bakery Chef de Partie (CDP)

Location: Fas a Fas Bakery & Cafe – Ubud, Bali

Position Type: Full-Time

Fas a Fas is an artisan French-inspired bakery and café located in the heart of Ubud. We are known for our high-quality breads, viennoiserie, and pastries made with precision and care. We are currently seeking a skilled Bakery CDP to join our production team and help us maintain and elevate our standards of excellence.

This position reports directly to the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the production of bakery items for both retail and wholesale distribution.
  • Prepare and bake a range of artisan breads, sourdoughs, baguettes, and viennoiserie (croissants, pain au chocolat, danishes, etc.)
  • Assist in daily dough preparation, shaping, proofing, and baking processes.
  • Maintain consistency in product quality, texture, and appearance.
  • Execute recipes accurately and contribute to ongoing product development.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are upheld at all times.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior bakery staff, fostering teamwork and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum SMK Tata Boga or equivalent vocational culinary education.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a professional bakery or bread-focused kitchen.
  • Solid understanding of fermentation, dough handling, and classic French baking techniques.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently during early morning shifts.
  • Able to work weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Domiciled in Bali (priority given to Bali-based applicants).
