Job summary

FORMULATRIX in Bandung, Indonesia is seeking a Software Research Engineer to develop backend features for a web application and integrate a smart camera monitoring system with multiple cameras and instruments. You will take full ownership of the project, guided by the Product Manager.

The role requires strong Python and C# skills, experience with Frigate, FFmpeg, WebRTC, and ASP.NET Core, and a solid grasp of software architecture, SDLC, and version control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Proficient in Python and C#.
• Familiar with Frigate, FFmpeg, WebRTC, and ASP.NET Core.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and SDLC.
• Experience with camera, multimedia, or interactive systems.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs for camera/instrument integration.
• Build data pipelines from input to storage, processing, and presentation.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and hardware team to translate requirements into designs.
