Job summary

Flex, a diversified manufacturing partner, is seeking a Backend Equipment Engineer based in Batam. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting and improving production equipment to ensure stable product quality and cost-effective manufacturing operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot failures, develop maintenance plans, and support equipment commissioning, NPI and production transfer projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in equipment maintenance or production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes and test instruments.
• Good English communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and improve production equipment and instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure reliability.
• Develop maintenance plans and schedules for equipment.
• Support equipment commissioning and NPIs, industrialization, and production transfer projects.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to optimize operations.
