Job summary

SAGARA Technology is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable applications in Jakarta. You will integrate AI models and external services while ensuring security and performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and external services.
• Design and manage databases, including data modeling, queries, and performance optimization.
• Integrate AI models, APIs, and third-party services into backend systems to support application functionality.
• Implement authentication, authorization, data validation, and security best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain code quality and system performance.
• Maintain technical documentation and support continuous improvement of backend architecture and development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development or a similar software engineering role.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices concepts, and backend system architecture.
• Understanding of AI models, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI API integration into backend applications.
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with AI services or frameworks such as OpenAI API, Gemini API, or similar technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms is preferred.
