Job summary

Sea Labs Indonesia is hiring a Back End Engineer to join our Payment-focused team. You’ll collaborate with Developers, PMs, UX Designers and Operations Engineers to build user-centric, business-critical backend functionalities for ShopeePay and related services.

Expect design, coding, and cross-team collaboration across scalable backend platforms. You’ll work on backend services, write clean code, build libraries, analyze requirements, optimize performance, and contribute to security and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
4+ years of backend development experience.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks and databases.
Hands-on experience with Go, Python or Java.
Experience with MySQL.
Familiar with Linux and multi-threaded programming.
Knowledge of TCP/UDP/HTTP and network programming.
Experience with Web Service frameworks and Golang.

Responsibilities

Design and development of backend services, systems, or platforms used by our products and our user.
Write high-quality, clean, elegant, and maintainable code.
Build common libraries.
Analyze requirements, design, and develop functionalities based on product requirements.
Understand the product thoroughly, optimise it, fix issues, and improve stability.
Design and implement various supporting tools as needed.
Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, user experience designers, and operations engineers to build features and products.
