Description:

Role Purpose:

  • Responsible for managing the overall health, performance, and competitiveness of the company’s product portfolio. This includes reviewing business cases to assess pricing and tariff strategies, ensuring alignment with existing offerings, minimizing cannibalization, and supporting synergy across the portfolio.
  • Collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Tax, Revenue Assurance, and Regulatory teams to ensure strong product performance and to take immediate actions on underperforming products. Tracks and analyzes post-launch performance—including revenue, subscriber behavior, traffic patterns, cost structure, and margins—while coordinating Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) with product owners for continuous improvement.
  • Leads the prioritization of business initiatives, supports investment decisions through business rationalization and process simplification, and provides data assumptions and scenario modeling for business cases. Ensures all initiatives are aligned with company goals and deliver measurable impact.
  • Drives market and competitor intelligence efforts—monitoring industry trends, analyzing competitor offerings, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. By combining portfolio governance with deep market understanding, this role helps the business identify gaps, shape winning propositions, and stay ahead in a dynamic telco environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Value

  • Reviewing business case and securing approval from the commercial side routinely.
  • Conducting Business Case Clarification meetings, introducing business initiatives to all responsible stakeholders such as business users, finance, tax, regulatory, revenue assurance, and accounting.
  • Reviewing and providing notes/insights related to the business case to business users, considering aspects such as Revenue, Traffic, Margin, and costs (OPEX/CAPEX).

Performance Business Case

  • Tracking launched business case performance and conducting analysis reviews for improvement.
  • Driving the development of business cases and justifications.
  • Initiating collection of performance results.

Ad-hoc

  • Supporting and providing insights for new special projects.
  • Measuring all requests outside of BC review, such as Monthly MPR / Shareholder reports, ICoFR Control, Pricing & Profitability, Monthly BP Reports, etc.

Market & Competitor Intelligence

  • Monitoring market trends and pricing strategies.
  • Benchmarking competitor offerings.
  • Analyzing customer behavior patterns.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in Product Management, Project Management (e.g., PMP), or Market Intelligence are advantageous.

Related Experience:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in product management, portfolio management, or market intelligence roles, preferably within the telecommunications, technology, or FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience in managing product portfolios and overseeing product performance from launch to post-launch review.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Solid experience in pricing strategy, business case evaluation, and performance management.
  • Exposure to market research, competitor analysis, and providing insights to influence business strategy.
