Role Purpose:
The AVP Business Performance and Insights plays a key strategic leadership role within the commercial function, responsible for transforming complex data from both commercial and media activities into clear, actionable insights that drive business impact. This role is accountable for overseeing comprehensive media campaigns performance analytics, translating the data into actionable business intelligence, and informing high-level decision-making across customer acquisition, revenue growth, profitability, and market share. Collaborating cross-functionally, the AVP ensures alignment of business strategies by tying results to business impact—connecting the dots between campaign performance and commercial KPIs to enable data-driven decisions at all levels, fostering data-driven decision-making, innovation, and continuous performance improvement throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Analytics Leadership: Drive a strategic approach to analytics, leveraging data-driven insights to shape commercial strategies and enhance overall business performance and market competitiveness.
- Comprehensive Performance Management: Oversee end-to-end analysis of business metrics, ensuring effective tracking, evaluation, and reporting of performance against key business goals, including customer growth, profitability, and market share.
- Insight Generation and Forecasting: Utilize predictive modelling, forecasting, and advanced analytical frameworks to proactively identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and inform strategic planning and budgeting cycles.
- Translate Data into Business Impact: Synthesize complex data sets from multiple sources (campaign dashboards, back-end data, CRM, BI tools) into actionable insights that tie campaign and performance metrics to strategic business decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely at the executive level with Marketing, Product, Sales, Finance, and Technology teams, ensuring that analytical insights are fully integrated into strategic decisions and aligned with overarching business objectives.
- Business Insights & ROI Management: Provide strategic insights and recommendations on media investment optimization, continuously evaluating and enhancing financial performance, cost efficiency, and return on investment across commercial activities.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous innovation within analytics, exploring and integrating new methodologies, tools, and technologies that advance the organization's analytical maturity and sustain competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
- Proven Strategic Analytics Leadership: Extensive experience (minimum 4-5 years) leading business analytics and strategic insight functions, ideally within telecom, digital, or a related industry.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools: Such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, or Google Data Studio, and experience managing dashboards, forecasting models, and cross-channel reporting systems.
- Strong Business & Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to translate analytical insights into clear financial implications, guiding ROI optimization, budget management, and investment decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influencing Skills: Exceptional capability in partnering and influencing stakeholders at all levels, ensuring analytics insights are effectively integrated into strategic business planning.
- Innovation & Change Leadership: Proven experience driving analytics innovation, embracing new methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance organizational analytics maturity.
- Executive-Level Communication & Presentation Skills: Superior ability to clearly articulate complex insights and recommendations to senior management, translating data-driven findings into strategic narratives.
