Job summary

Volex invites applications for a hands-on Automation Engineer to debug, tune, and maintain automated assembly and testing equipment in our Batam facility. You will work with production teams during ramp-up and mass production to improve reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Automation Engineering and 5+ years in automated machinery debugging or maintenance. Fluency in English and on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in automated machinery debugging or maintenance.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine debugging, tuning, and validation after assembly or installation.
• Design and improve mechanical components or assemblies to support machine functionality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues during machine testing and operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration to ensure long-term reliability.
• Analyze downtime data and propose improvements to enhance uptime and yield.
• Provide technical support for production and training for operators or maintenance personnel.
• Support continuous improvement activities for process optimization and automation enhancement.
• Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting logs, and machine configuration records.
