Job summary

Aksari Luxury Resort & Spa Ubud is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead hotel maintenance operations in Bali. You will supervise the engineering team, manage daily maintenance activities, and ensure high standards of safety and reliability across MEP systems.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor’s in Engineering and 3–5 years in hospitality engineering, with strong leadership, reporting, and coordination with Operations, Housekeeping, and Front Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Engineering/Maintenance, preferably in a hotel, villa, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or engineering leadership role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, generators, and other MEP systems.
• Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Able to supervise and coordinate the Engineering team and daily maintenance activities.
• Familiar with maintenance schedules, equipment inspections, and technical reporting.
• Good knowledge of occupational safety, fire safety, and environmental standards.
• Able to manage engineering tools, spare parts, inventory, and maintenance costs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Able to coordinate with Operations, Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments.
